Thespian Films is an award-winning London-based production company dedicated to crafting bold, visionary cinema with a distinct focus on horror and dark comedy.
Founded in 2014 by filmmaker Francesco Gabriele, Thespian Films was born from a passion for placing actors at the heart of the creative process. With a commitment to visually striking, character-driven storytelling, our films aim to move, inspire, and entertain audiences worldwide.
Over the years, we have cultivated a strong network of collaborators and industry partners, allowing us to develop and produce a diverse slate of award-winning films, ranging from innovative low-budget projects to large-scale productions.
Francesco Gabriele is a British-Italian award-winning film producer and director based in London. Born and raised in Italy, he trained in both filmmaking and acting, earning an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School and graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
In 2014, he founded Thespian Films, a production company dedicated to bold, character-driven storytelling. Over the past decade, he has directed and produced a diverse slate of feature and short films, earning recognition at prestigious film festivals worldwide.
Francesco is a member of Directors UK and serves as the Screen Acting Program Lead for the BA Acting course at St Mary’s University in London.
